The inner festival area
Until the guests have left the inner festival area, facades and the like must be intact. At 04:00, the inner festival area will be opened for driving into with all types of driving permits. However, consider whether you need to drive, or whether you can wait and give those with additional needs space to get around.
Gate 1, gate 3, gate 14, gate 40C and gate 6 are the entrances to the inner festival area (after Sunday at 22:00, gate 14 and gate 1 are closed at night between 22:00 and 07:00)
A wristband is still required to move around the square until Friday 10 July at 16:00. If you have a clear errand, the guards can assign a temporary wristband when the campsite is closed and emptied of guests.
The camping area
On Sunday at 12:00 the camp site closes. After that, you should preferably wear a vest if you are carrying out tasks in the camping area. This will make it easier for our guards to see if you have an errand. If you do not have a vest, please be respectful of the guards when they ask about your errand.
It is not allowed to collect left-over items. This may result in a report for theft.
Until 22:00 you can enter the site via gates 1, 3, 14, 40C, 20, 35 or 53. After that, we will close the gates, and you must then use gate 3 or gate 53 to enter. All other gates will be closed, and we ask that you respect that they should not be opened. They will be opened again at 07:00 on Monday morning.
If you have a special need for access, or if you see anything strange, please call our security company. They can be contacted on tel: 60 700 800.
At 22:00, all gates other than gate 3 and gate 53, which are the only entrances to the entire festival site, will be closed.
Leave the space as you found it
We expect you to take your things away from the site and help clean up. Things you don't want to take home with you should be taken to the sorting stations. Here, in addition to waste containers, there will also be an opportunity to place equipment that is not broken and can be recycled.
Roskilde Festival does not collect tents etc. for charity from places other than the sorting stations, so if it is not delivered here, we will have to pay for it to be disposed of. It is therefore best that you take your usable equipment home.
If you have to complete an assignment on Sunday, please bring your things with you on duty so that we do not assume that the things have been left out there.
Recycling of abandoned items
This year it is not possible to collect waste or stay at the campsite without a specific errand. The area is a work area, where only people who are at work should be present.
Some people have, as part of the cleanup, an agreement to collect, but they are registered and wear vests. If you are one of them, remember to put on your vest.
Wristband check/forced
You must wear a wristband until Friday, July 10 at 16:00. This can be a before/after wristband. You will receive your wristband from your manager. You may be turned away at the gate if you do not have the correct access code.
If you already have a wristband, do not remove it, as it is easier for all parties.
Vehicles leaving the site may be searched. This must be complied with.
Driving at the festival site
The driving office is open until Sunday 5 July at 15:00. You will still be able to get your driving permit here. However, they cannot approve the delivery, as this must be done via your manager.
It is recommended that you have a driving permit, as you may be refused entry by the guard if you do not have one. If you do not have a driving permit, the guard will assess whether your errand is necessary. If you arrive at the driving office after Sunday July 5 at 15:00, you must contact the depot in Vor Frue at “Department Ø”, which can issue driving permits according to the above rules. It will be a great help if you pick up your driving permit for cleanup before closing time
Caravans in Vor Frue
Caravans belonging to all-year volunteers that need to be stored in Vor Frue can be put in the area no earlier than Sunday at 17:00. The associations that use the area must have an opportunity to pack up.
They must be parked in the same place as last year - it is marked with an “A” on the map below. Don’t just place the caravan randomly but line it up as far as possible. That way there is room for more.
There are some requirements for your caravan:
- The caravan must be intact and relatively tight
- It must be able to be towed on the hook
- The wheels must be able to turn freely
- There must be a sign visible with the owner’s name and telephone number in the caravan. A dormitory sign is not enough.
Over the next few weeks we will move them to the winter location, where they will be kept until next year. We cannot guarantee that the caravans will be accessible before next season. Therefore, remember to secure the carts against wind and weather, and take what you need with you before you leave.
