Accessibility
We have a camping area for guests with both major and minor disabilities, individuals with physical challenges and/or a need for peace and quiet, as well as for friends, family, and carers. We strive to create calm surroundings and be especially considerate of one another.
There is no access control – everyone is welcome to visit, and we are happy to have guests.
Most stages have platforms that help wheelchair users rise to eye level with the rest of the audience.
If you find it difficult to stand close to many people, we recommend that you plan ahead and familiarize yourself with the locations of platforms, seating installations, expected crowd density, big screen placements, and sound conditions at each stage. The hosts in front of the stages are ready to assist you.
We do not offer seat reservations on the platforms for specific concerts.
The platforms exist to ensure equal access to the concert experience.
How it works
- The platform is reserved for participants who are unable to stand during the concert.
- Companions are welcome if there is space – but please be considerate and give priority to participants with the right of access as mentioned in point 1.
- Everyone on the platform must remain seated.
If you are able to stand, but your festival partner has the right to access the platform, you may accompany them onto the platform if space allows. However, if others with priority arrive, you must give up your spot.
Please note: For safety reasons, Crowd Safety may close or restrict access to the platform before and after concerts. Therefore, be sure to arrive early if you need a spot.
If you have questions about your upcoming festival experience – or you’re not sure if Roskilde Festival is for you – please contact us on email: info@roskilde-festival.dk. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
We are also interested in hearing from you, if you have suggestions for how we can make Roskilde Festival even more accessible.
Contact during the festival
During the festival you can contact us from 8-24 on phone +45 46 36 66 13.
If you are in urgent need of help, you can always contact our service hosts in the orange vests; they can help you – either themselves or by sending for their supervisor.
Participate in the conversation about accessibility
Finally, you can join the Facebook group, Roskilde Festival Our Way, and participate in conversations about accessibility and disability service. Here, you can ask questions and share your festival experiences with others.
You can use the designated disabled parking spaces at the entrances if you have a valid EU parking card. The card is issued by Disabled People's Organisation Denmark and several equivalent organizations abroad.
Remember that the card is associated with the person, not the vehicle.
There are more than 20 accessible toilets distributed across the festival site. Most of these toilets are locked, so they can only be used by people with special needs.
You can also find a toilet and shower with a lift at the Handicamp camping area.
Issuing keys for accessible toilets
If you need access to accessible toilets, you can get a key when you arrive at the festival. You do not need to notify us in advance.
Keys can be collected at three locations:
- At Check-In on Maglegårdsvej
- At Lost & Found
- At Handicamp
