Roskilde Festival has 27,000 volunteers who take on a wide range of roles. That means there are plenty of opportunities to find something that matches your interests!
Use the categories in the volunteer listings to find a role that matches your interests:
Hospitality & Safety roles, you help create a safe and welcoming environment for guests as they move around the festival site. For example, you might work as safety staff near the stages, check wristbands and access at the gates, or act as a service host in one of the camping areas.
Stalls, Food & Bars roles focus on teamwork, service, and lots of guest interaction. The pace is often high, and you're a key part of creating a great vibe. You might, for example, serve guests at a food stall – helping with both cooking and dishwashing. You could also work the register in a merchandise booth or be a bartender at one of the bars.
Construction & Service you'll be part of the team that makes sure the festival site is spot on. You might help set up stages, put up fences, hand out rented tents, pavilions, and camping chairs, or take care of other practical tasks, maintenance, or logistics behind the scenes.
Office & IT roles are typically behind the scenes and crucial for keeping everything on track. Perfect for those who thrive on structure, overview, and administrative tasks. You could volunteer at the information center, where you’ll help answer participants' questions, take on a HR role for a team, or be part of the IT support crew.
Other roles, you’ll find opportunities that are less frequently offered – often niche tasks or roles requiring specific skills. For example, you could help curate art and activism, work as a stagehand, or be a content producer for the festival’s social media.
