As a volunteer, you should expect to contribute a minimum of 24 hours between Wednesday, 1 July 2026, and Sunday, 5 July 2026, or a minimum of 32 hours spread across the entire festival period.
Hours are typically divided into 8‑hour shifts, but shorter or longer shifts may occur depending on the volunteer role.
Some roles also offer shifts that take place before and/or after the festival. If the work falls outside the festival week, it will be stated in the volunteer posting.
On some teams, it's also possible to volunteer for just one day by contributing 8 hours of work in exchange for access to the festival that day.
If you want to get more involved, you can either join as a festival co-creator in the months leading up to the festival and contribute 100 hours – or you can become a year-round volunteer and stay engaged all year. Find the available year-round roles here.
General terms on your shift
You must attend all your shifts at the agreed time, and you must not consume or be under the influence of alcohol or euphoric substances when you are on shift. This may result in expulsion from the festival and Roskilde Festival may charge a fee of DKK 4,500.
